Frequently Asked Question!

Hemp (Cannabis sativa), also called industrial hemp, is a plant of the family Cannabaceae cultivated for its fibre (bast fibre) or its edible seeds. Hemp is sometimes confused with the cannabis plants that serve as sources of the drug marijuana and the drug preparation hashish. Although all three products—hemp, marijuana, and hashish—contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a compound that produces psychoactive effects in humans, the variety of cannabis cultivated for hemp has only small amounts of THC relative to that grown for the production of marijuana or hashish.

These two plants of the cannabis families are different from each other in terms of chemical properties, cultivation process, usage and other traits.

Hemp is mainly cultivated for producing natural hemp oil for fabrics, food, rope and many other items.

Hemp does not have psychoactive traits as with marijuana (you cannot get high). Marijuana contains high levels of THC of  20 percent or higher. The psychoactive ingredient THC in hemp contains less than 0.3 percent.

Yes. The Farm Bill or the Agriculture Improvement Act is where Congress pass legislation that sets national agriculture, nutrition, conservation, and forestry policy every five years.

The United States Farm Bill of 2018 classified plants containing less than 0.3% THC as industrial hemp, making CBD legal in all 50 states.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is 1 of over 100 natural chemical compounds extracted from the cannabis plant.  It’s a naturally occurring molecule. CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid biological system in humans and other mammals, but it doesn’t have any of the psychoactive effects of THC, which people commonly think of in relation to the cannabis plant.

Cannabinoids are the chemical compounds found in the Cannabis sativa (hemp) plant. There are around 104 chemical compounds or cannabinoids in the plant.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in our body helps our immune, central nervous, and digestive systems maintain balance. When our bodies are deficient in cannabinoids (due to genetics or environmental stress) a variety of neurological conditions can develop. Fortunately, cannabidiol (CBD), can be introduced into our diets when these deficiencies exist, helping to restore our bodies to balance through natural methods. Consult with a medical professional regarding your specific health situation.

CBD oil is made by extracting CBD from the cannabis plant, then diluting it with a carrier oil, such as coconut or hemp seed oil.

There is no ‘correct’ CBD dosage. The optimal dose for a consumer depends on several factors, such as body type and CBD tolerance. The type of CBD product and its concentration are other important considerations, since some products interact differently with the body than others.

As with any health & wellness supplement, we recommend a “start low and go slow” approach for both humans and pets. Below are our recommended usage instructions for our CBD Tinctures and some of the most popular products.

Oils/Tinctures – Start with 1/2 dropper of oil under the tongue once in the morning and once in the evening for adults. For best results, hold the oil under the tongue for 30 seconds before swallowing. Increase to 1 full dropper, as needed.

Lotions – Apply a nickel-sized amount to the area of interest. Use liberally as needed.

Rollers – Apply a small amount (1-2 swipes) directly to area of interest, as needed.

Pets – Administer 1/4 dropper of oil (0.25 mL or about 5 drops) per 10 lbs of pet weight once per day.

Tetrahydrocannabinol known as  (THC) is the main psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis that causes the sensation of getting “high” that’s often associated with marijuana. However, unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive.

CBD Distillate- contains different cannabinoids, terpenes, and plant material. CBD Distillate usually has a much higher THC that can make it illegal in most states. CBD Distillate are not as pure as CBD isolate but can be refined to become a CBD isolate.

CBD Isolate– is CBD in its purest form. Everything doing the extraction process is removed or filtered out of the hemp plant except for the cannabidiol. This leaves you with the purest CBD product.

Full Spectrum CBD– contains an array of cannabinoids, CBD terpenes, and vitamins. However, it contains negligible amounts of THC which will not have a psychoactive effect and makes the product legal.

Broad-spectrum CBD is full-spectrum CBD without any THC.

Terpenes are the chemicals found in plants that give them their scent, color and flavor.

A few terpenes that can be found in the cannabis plant are Limonene, Caryophyllene, Humulene, Linalool, Myrcene, and Pinene.

The human body contains a specialized system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is involved in regulating a variety of functions of the body.

Recent scientific studies have shown that the body produces endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in your brain, central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, and immune system.

The legal allowance is 0.3% or less of THC.

CBD consumers can protect themselves by only purchasing products from brands that provide third-party testing results, product ingredients, and information about the manufacturing process.
